Could you be more specific?

There was a Daily Prompt which asks me to write in the style of a blogger I admire.

I had a whole rousing blog post in my head before I sat down. Sadly it’s gone. If I get distracted I lose my train of thought.

My wife distracted me with some very important (totally unimportant) question or other with her beautiful voice….

I want to make a suggestion. I read lots of blogs saying that the world is corrupt, governments are corrupt, armies are corrupt, science is corrupt, media companies are corrupt, music industry is corrupt.

For a reader who hasn’t a clue what we’re talking about, please give them  a concrete example. Make them care. Some blogs do this already.

Today a workmate goes to me “I met a guy at a barbeque the other night. He was talking about all the conspiracies down through the years. They never put a man on the moon!”

” I have been telling you that for years.” I answered, in shock.

“Yes but he explained it better.”

“Thanks mate!”   The main thing is he knows now. I could hear the excitement in his voice. His awakening has begun.

The point is this; Perhaps you have a knack of explaining things.

Pick an event do some research then be specific! The newsreaders are very specific with the lies. Be specific with the truth.

I hear the term ‘Be the change’ a lot, in blogs. From what I see the main folks ‘being the change’ are the governments, the bankers, and the traditional media, and it’s not a change for the better.

Whether you knew it or not the Boston Marathon drama was smoke and firecrackers and amputee actors. I picked two videos from the numerous available on youtube. One is from an actual news channel (one of the few who try to keep the balance). The other is a movie maker who spotted actors he recognised and has now blown the proverbial whistle. His interview is a tale of bravery which I could never match.  We owe it to him to Be Specific!

This is our time, our window, our awakening. Grab a truth hammer and help to be the change.

The Daily Prompt asks to write like a blogger I admire. I admire most bloggers. I hope am writing in the style of most bloggers’ inner voice.

It’s just a suggestion.

Thank you for reading

Frankie.

ps…just as I am about to hit publish I get a sign!! (Thank you Holy Spirit.) My wife is watching a telly drama called Intelligence. A detective makes a reference to the Boston Bombers as being scumbags. Lol. The telly hypnosis machine is working hard these days.

Noah’s Ark

I have heard the name Noah a few times in the past week. Either because of the new movie or my blogger friend Cheryl whose grandchild carries this wonderful name.

Since 2007 strange things, sometimes divine, have been happening in my life.

There was an instance about four or five years ago when a thought popped into my head. At first I thought this “thought” was my own. But later that evening I realised it was planted.

I encourage any new readers to read two posts I wrote explaining planted thoughts by the Holy Spirit (angels etc to some).

https://truckerturningwrite.com/2014/03/22/sacred-heart/

https://truckerturningwrite.com/2014/03/16/clap-along-if-you-awoke-at-1111/

Anyway, during my working day I got this idea in my head that maybe Noah’s Ark was the Bible’s way of explaining an Alien vessel landing on earth, saving two of everything and setting them down after the flood. I even considered maybe it was a story about coming from a another planet to earth, if that makes sense.

It’s no harm to entertain thoughts and follow through with research, especially gut research. (I can feel people saying “Cuckoo”)

Later that day when I got home, I skipped dinner and went straight to the computer. I googled “Noah’s Ark Spaceship”. It turns out I wasn’t the first to come up with this theory. There was even a song based on this idea. But anyway, I was guided to something which was accompanied by a confirmation of the truth to me.

In the Bible it says the Ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. It turns out that there is a mountain in Turkey called Mount Ararat. It looks like the shape of a decomposed boat at the top. And there were also photos of ancient stone anchors around the site.

Just then my wife calls to me that we have visitors. I switch the computer off and go to greet my in-laws. My wife’s nephew has arrived with his parents. He was two years old.

“Show Frankie your new toy,” goes my wife to the kid, Barney.

Barney holds up the toy in his hands. “Look Fwankie, look!” It was a toy Noah’s Ark. It turned out he only got it a couple of hours earlier.

As we all know there are websites on the internet whose purpose is false info and there are websites whose info is true and there are websites whose only mission is to cause confusion.

If this subject interests you check it out. Also check out the chariots found at the bottom of the Red Sea (maybe the parting by Moses actually happened.) I hope you are guided to the truth. The “important” truth.

For the record I believe Aliens exist, whether from here or another planet, whether good or evil. See the post called. https://truckerturningwrite.com/2014/04/01/it-had-lights/ But I also believe the devil exists. I will blog about that again, I hope.

These signs happen all the time. I am sure you are being guided too, whether you realise it or not.

I think this is enough for now.

Thank you for reading

Frankie.

ps…Barney’s new baby brother was Christened Noah, later that year.

Blog Tour 2014 – The writing process.

newgrange-spirals

Thanks, first of all, to Pepper at http://fieldofthorns.wordpress.com/ for asking me to take part in this tour. I am gob-smacked that I was considered. My blog goes from one extreme to the next. Pepper’s talent with words speaks for itself. If you haven’t already discovered the Field of Thorns, there is no time like the present.

I have to nominate two bloggers to take this tour forward next Monday.

The first is Martha. A published author who teaches writing and tells it like it is. http://marthakennedy.wordpress.com/

The second is the Doctor. He is unique, in my opinion. Quite funny. He also does a thing called live novel-ing. http://doctorloser.com/

Now I have to answer the four questions.

What am I working on at the moment?

I have been working in spurts on a non-fiction book. I don’t intend to write a second book. I only intend to write one.

It should have been finished ages ago. What’s the hold-up? The day job and all the other projects I seem to volunteer for. Excuses excuses!

I hope, when it is finished, it will help somebody make sense of this age in which we are living.  It will be simple language, easy to understand. There will be light hearted moments and my take on the meaning of life. I urge people to think twice about even the most insignificant coincidences that happen in their day to day lives.

When it is finished I hope to move on and try something else worthwhile.

How does my writing differ from others of its genre?

I don’t try to stand out. If I do, it’s not intentional. It’s not a competition, lucky for me. I have no interest in fame or fortune. I have an interest in trying to help.

I find it increasingly hard to understand most people. There is an indifference in the attitude to injustice of the average 21st century person.

How do I differ? Maybe I differ in that I realise we can’t meditate our way to a better future. We as bloggers have the power to change the world through a keypad, if we do it together, one truth at a time.

Why do I write what I do?

I suppose maybe I have the hope that something I write will help somebody. I wrote a play once. It was a comedy with a sad twist. But the moral of the story was that life can improve after the loss of a loved one if we allow it to improve.

I believe in the subtle influence of evil under the guise of pleasure. I see a mass hypnosis going on in the world. Hands are being used for anything other than helping. This worries me because my children will have to share a world with their children.

Then there are other times when I believe that this is all part of the destiny spoken of in the Bible. The human race has become so polluted with greed and self interest and self help books. We are desensitised to the suffering of others.

How does my writing process work?

My blog writing is very lazy. I might use one of the daily prompts from WordPress or just type about something random.

As for other writing, it comes to me during my working day. I keep a wee notebook for scribbling ideas and thoughts. Then I try to write when the house is quiet. The problem is that my mind seems most productive when I am busy at work. In the evenings it feels forced. Not all the time but most times.

I will write maybe a page or two then go back and hack it down to half a page.

Other times I stare at a blank screen and realise I am not a writer at all.

Thank you for reading

Frankie.

ps…I hope to catch up on reading blogs tomorrow. I have missed a few days over the weekend, sorry. And thanks again Pepper.

Trading places.

Trading places.

Does anybody remember the movies ‘Trading Places’ or ‘Inner space’ ? They were very popular comedies back in the eighties.

Trading places was and still is a very interesting comedy. The producer of this movie caught the attention of one of the world ‘elite’ as they are known. The pair became friends until the elite made the mistake of thinking that the producer was as evil as himself.

This is a ten minute section taken from an interview with Aaron Russo, a few years ago. He has since gone for his reward in heaven.

A brave man who wanted to wake the world up.

If you are not in shock after the first five minutes, I give up. Seriously, I give up on humanity.

RIP Aaron Russo.

Thank you for reading

Frankie.

Feel free to reblog if you feel strongly enough. I will understand if you don’t.

Bealtaine, Sunshine and Anna.

Bealtaine, Sunshine and Anna.

It’s safe to read on today.  No crime mysteries to solve in this post.

stonecircle

There is a place here in County Donegal, Ireland which is worth a visit if you are ever up this way. It’s a circle of standing stones called Beltany.

The Irish readers will already know this; There are lots of place names and towns re-named by the English years ago when they were making their maps and dividing up the land. Basically, the name Beltany comes from the gaelic name for the month of May, Bealtaine, pronounced bale-tan-na, or that’s how I do it in my accent.

Bealtaine was a big deal. The start of the summer. The season of growth. I believe that word came from an ancient god named Belenus. I believe his name came from Bel in Gaulish celtic mythology meaning bright/light/shine.

I’ll get to the point.

Anna is a blogger who is/was a teacher. I read a post on her blog very recently and it was a side to teaching I had never heard before. She loved the kids so much it hurt. It is one of those posts that stick in my head. Her blog is here  http://goinroguedotnet.com/ .

I had already been given the Sunshine award badge. Anna didn’t know this. It was my fault. Since then I made a page called ‘Awards’ just to remind myself how truly great I am and to let anybody see what I already have on my lapel.

I want to do something to show my appreciation to Anna for giving a ‘Sunshine’ award, of all things, to a wretch like me. I will answer the questions as honestly as I can without kicking off WW3 and Armageddon and all that.

1. Why did I decide to start blogging?

I like reading and I like writing about the things I that interest me, I think. It’s a question I have been asking myself recently.

2. Have I ever had a near death experience?

Yes! Most definitely. I was 16 or 17 in the passenger seat of the a friend’s car. We were going pretty fast on a narrow lane. There was a pothole (I can still see it in my mind’s eye), he swerved to avoid it and next thing the car left the road. We were hurtling through a downhill field. Time slowed down, I looked at him then looked back towards the window. Then it happened. My life actually flashed in front of me. It’s so hard to explain but all these different scenes from my life up to that point were flicking in front of me. So fast. If you remember how the six million dollar man used to read a book, by just fanning the pages? It was like that. Super fast visual scenes but my brain understood each one. Anyway, the car landed safely. We got it towed out of the field, gave her a quick wash, replaced the broken number plate, and had her back in his yard before his father noticed she was missing. Happy days.

3. Am I lover or a fighter? First thought please.

Lover.

4. Do I drink caffeine?

Tea.

5. What’s my favourite food?

I don’t think I have one. I eat anything. Even my words.

6. Name my favourite fictional character?

Ross O’Carroll Kelly.

7. Do I prefer real books or e-reader?

Real books.

8. Have I ever smoked cigarettes?

Honey, I’ve eaten cigarettes! I smoked since boyhood until pancake Tuesday 2009. I hope to take up pipe smoking if I make it to 60. I love everything about pipe smoking. The image, the cleaning ritual, the smell, everything.

9. Am I married with/without kids?

Yes to both charges. My fate is sealed.

10. Am I a positive or negative person, most of the time?

I am eternally positive. And I would be even more positive if a newsreader did this every once in a while:

Thank you Anna, and thanks to anybody else for reading

Frankie.

photo from google images

Consider this please.

I can almost predict the future.

Remember Joseph Kony? Sudan, The “world’s” most wanted. The social media and printed tee-shirts. All the media hype until somebody said he’s been dead ten years. Ahem…oops. “Lets change the news.”

A few weeks ago there was a little snippet on the news here in Ireland about two hundred and forty something girls kidnapped in Nigeria. It was one of those news reel videos which is sent to all corners of the globe.

When I saw it I said to my wife “There is something extremely dodgy about that.” Even the video looked staged.

Fast forward to last Monday evening. Our news had a new video. An abandoned village with about thirty women carrying really expensive signs and flags, dance/marching with smiling faces. No spectators except for the camera man. And a narrator saying they are on their way to the government buildings. It was like they were acting for the camera. I could go on. I looked for the clip online but can’t find it. It has gotten so big now, if actors were needed before, they aren’t anymore.

Yesterday morning one of the national radio stations here mentioned a protest would be held outside the Nigerian embassy here in Dublin. Tee shirts and posters would be provided.

Next thing “Toot-toot-toot…” The heroes are going in. I had predicted that also to my wife weeks ago. The social media and telly is the Cinema. Get the popcorn  in because this stuff is pure Hollywood script. The kidnapper released a video to say “God told me to sell your girls.”

Oh please. Give me a break.

Nigeria “just happens” to be hosting a world economic forum this week. And the President Goodluck Johnathan, welcomes the help. By the way he hasn’t sent any of his own men after the kidnappers who must have been driving at least five bus loads of screaming girls through the jungle!!! Not to mention the trucks full of his own men.

Since when was such a massive media campaign launched about kidnappings which happen all the time in poorer countries? Isn’t it easier to go into yet another country when the “world” is cheering you on?

Don’t jump straight back with comments. Please just think about it. That’s all I ask. I could be completely wrong. My mind is working on the scenarios even as I type this. Neither you nor I has a clue what’s going on, but we can think about it.

Here have a look at one of the parents. Oops I mean, have a listen to him talking on the phone.

Thank you for reading

Frankie.
